Keeley Hazell Top Fashion Model - Supermodel

Keeley is just one of the great talents to arise from South-East's London popular town, Lewisham- before her sprung Jude Law, Kate Bush, Gabrielle and even Eric Clapton. Living there for eighteen years of her life, she attended The Ravensbourne School in the local borough of Bromley, and although her career is taking her to far flung places on the globe she still calls London home.

At sixteen Keeley left school, and went straight out to work as a trainee hairdresser. It was here she was given the encouragement by her work colleagues to try modelling. Keeley then seventeen decided to give modelling a chance and paid to have professional pictures taken- little was she to know these pictures would be a starting point for so many more fantastic things to come; she sent them off to The Daily Star and was entered into a competition which she later won.

Only seventeen and not legally allowed to topless model she decided to go onto college where she studied fashion, something she had always wanted to do. She was there barely three months when her friend told her about the Page 3 Idol competition running in The Sun. After some hard thought about what she wanted to do with her career she decided to give it a go and sent some snapshots off.

In December 2004 Keeley won the competition, bagging several exciting prizes; her biggest and best was her first, international shoot with Alan Strutt. Here she was shipped away to Tobago for one week of sea, sun and sand, and from it came the pictures which set tongues wagging; here was something special.

Since then Keeley has skyrocketed from a rebellious, trainee hairdresser to being crowned one of the World's Sexiest Women by FHM. Her career is globally covering the whole spectrum from brands to magazines to tabloids and broadsheets hence she is the face of Sony’s Playstation 3 Edition, Formula One 06 and has most recently lead the advertising campaign for Lynx Dark Temptation deodorant.

She has graced the covers both nationally and internationally of Arena, FHM, Maxim, Loaded, ZOO and Nuts (to name but a few) as well as drawing the attention of British broadsheets such as The Sunday Independent who have featured several articles on the beauty, as well as a cover on their ‘Sunday Review’ magazine. She is a keen environmentalist and has been recognised by the British Conservative Leader David Cameron as a huge Environmental Icon.

The demand on ‘Keeley Mania’ is so strong in 2007 she released two calendars, both of which were the fastest selling calendars of the year. Most recently she is progressing in to singing and presenting with her first music video ‘Voyeur’ being set to release for download in May 2008 and the online technology programme which she co-presents ByteMeTv attracting a huge fan base. It is becoming clear the phenomenal Keeley is now more than just a competition winner as she proceeds to make herself a recognisable household name.

Fashion V Sport sponsored by ECCO Shoes

A new exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) this summer, Fashion V Sport, will explore the relationship between contemporary fashion and global sportswear brands. Both industries have been inspired by street style and have been working in closer collaboration in recent years.

Date: 5 August – 14 December 2008

On display will be around 60 outfits including performance sportswear, work by fashion designers such as Stella McCartney who have designed sportswear ranges, and garments such as the work of Japanese label Visvim which show the influence of sportswear on high fashion. There will also be design drawings, photographs and film to examine how these products are worn, designed, advertised and collected.

The exhibition will show highlights from collections by designers who have playfully incorporated the style of sportswear into catwalk fashion such as Bernard Wilhelm’s Spring/Summer 07 patterned designs based on American bodybuilders and Jean Charles de Castelbajac’s colourful reinterpretation of a jogging suit for his Autumn/Winter 01 collection.

It will also illustrate how designers like Dries van Noten and Kim Jones have reworked sportswear staples such as the grey jersey tracksuit into high fashion items.

Fashion V Sport will trace the customization of sports fashion and will include work such as a jacket reconstructed from sections of Nike clothing by cult designer Dr Romanelli and Jeremy Scott’s range for Adidas inspired by the work of artist Keith Haring.

The exhibition will also show how the creativity of customizers such as I-Saw and Nash Money has been embraced by global superbrands, as seen in Rbk Custom trainers which allow the consumer to design their own shoe.

The final section will look at the world of sportswear obsessives – from collectors who own hundreds of pairs of trainers to the Japanese fashion designer Hirofumi Kiyonaga who has created a brand named after his virtual football team ‘Football Club Real Bristol’ for which he designs two fashion collections each year.

It will display extraordinary products from Nike’s handmade crocodile skin trainers to Ends’ diamond-encrusted shoelaces alongside examples of advertising campaigns for fashion brands featuring sports personalities such as David Beckham and David James modelling for Armani.

ECCO Shoes, the international shoe brand, are proud sponsors of Fashion V Sport. The exhibition will take place in the Porter Gallery, the V&A’s new gallery for contemporary exhibitions and installations, and will be designed by Metaphor.

Laetitia Casta Top Fashion Model

Bio: Laetitia was raised in Normandie and Corsica, France, in the middle of an animal-filled forest, Laetitia has a down-home charm that's truly infectious. At the age of fifteen, Laetitia was discovered while vacationing with her family on a beach in Corsica, "the island of beauty", in France.

A modeling agent from the Madison Models' Agency approached her, and handed her father a business card with an invitation to bring his daughter to Paris for some test shoots. Once her father finally agreed to the agency taking some test photographs, her unmistakable potential was recognized by the founder of Madison Models - despite the fact that the shoot occurred without the aid of makeup and a designer wardroom which many models rely on to promote themselves. Within weeks of her first shoots, she was walking the runway for Jean-Paul Gaultier. However, her career did not begin to take off until the director of the French edition of Elle saw and was impressed with Laetitia's looks.

Modeling contracts and appearances in magazines quickly ensued. Paul Marciano, founder and art director of Guess? who is incidentally accredited for the success of Claudia Schiffer - was taken by Casta's near perfection. Her work in the Guess ad (she became their new front Girl) was her debut advertising campaign. Shot by Neil Kirk in Jamaica in October 1994. Thanks to Marciano, Guess has brought her international exposure and recognition.

In addition to Rolling Stone, Casta has adorned the pages of many other magazines, including the Italian edition of Glamour; Vogue; and Cosmopolitan. In 1998, she joined Kate Moss and Jennifer Aniston in becoming a spokesperson for cosmetics company L'Oreal. Casta's relationship with designer Yves St. Laurent has helped to promote her career. Since 1998 Casta's public outfits have all been personal Yves St. Laurent creations.

Her appearance in the exclusive Pirelli calendar, considered a collector's item because it consists of beautiful shots taken by the most prestigious photographers, is considered one of Casta's accomplishments. In the 1999 issue, themed Women Through the Decades, Casta is featured as representative of the 1950's woman.

She lives in Paris with her parents, older brother and younger sister. Laetitia enjoys car racing with her friends, traveling, cooking with her mum and spending time with her younger sister. Laetitia also has a brown belt in Judo, she feels that it helps her in her modeling career to have control. To set limits for herself, to adopt a non-aggressive stance and to think with her mind not her emotions.

Laetitia became a French national obsession when she was elected by all the French mayors to be the representation of Marianne's effigy, the French Republic symbol. Known for her great sense of humor and a good head on her shoulders, Laetitia can look forward to a bright future.

No Fashion Models - No Supermodels but Nice story must read it !!!

Sorry for Interruption friends. Here I posted a really very good story. Pls read it and pass this link to your all friends. It’s really very good story…
This story is related to 1 Boy and his Mother

My mother had only one eye,

I hated her as I was ashamed of her

She was a cook in the school cafeteria where I studied.

One day, when I saw still in a primary class,

She came to visit me to see for herself that I was all right.

I was very upset, how dare she do this to me?

After that incident I ignored her & looked on her

Only with hateful eyes….

The next day, a fellow-student told me,

“oohhh, your mother has only one eye!”

At that moment, I wanted to crawl under the floor

And that my mother would be out of my life completely.

The next day I went to meet her & to tell here:

“ because of you I am the joke at school,

Why don’t you die and go away!?

But, she did not respond….

I wasn’t thinking and did not know what I was saying,

I was very angry.

I could not imagine

How she would react to my remarks.

And, I left town.

I studied relentlessly and obtained a scholarship

to continue my studies abroad.

In fact, I completed my studies, got married, bought a house and set up my family.

I lived a happy and a peaceful life.

One day, my mother comes to visit me.

It has been many years since she had disappeared,

She had never met here grand-children.

She remained at the doorstep

While my children were making fun of her

I shouted at her: “ How date you come all the way here and frighten my kids?!

With a calm voice she responded:

“I apologize, I am at the wrong address.”

And she disappeared.

One day, I received an invitation from my hometown school to attend a reunion under the “ close family ties “ topic

I lied to my wife and made her believe that

I was traveling for business.

After the reunion I stopped by the house

where I grew up

The neighbours informed me that

my mother had passed away.

I did not shed even one drop of tear!!!

The neighbor handed me a letter

that my mother had left for me

“My Dear son, I always thought of you.”

I regret having visited you abroad

And frightened your kids

…I was very pleased when I heard that

you would come to attend the reunion

…The only thing was that I could not get up

from my bed to come and see you….

…I am broken-hearted that I brought

shame to you on numerous occasions…

…Did you know that when you were a baby

you had an accident and lost your one eye?...

… and, as any other mother would,

I would not let you grow up with only one eye….

So. I gave you my eye……..

I was very proud and happy to know that my son would be able to see the world with my eye

… with all my love…

…Your mother….

End….

Please don’t forget to post the comment… Thank You….

The show, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is being held from 8 to 11 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Seven group pavilions, from the Chinese mainland, .

“The sluggish US economy has inevitably affected our industry,” he said. “But Hong Kong garment companies are experienced, resilient and blessed with the flexibility to respond to changing market conditions.”

The challenging outlook of the US market is, however, compensated by the growth from emerging markets. Mr Fang said: “Growth in Hong Kong exports to the emerging markets is encouraging, with Argentina, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia and Turkey all recording more than 20 per cent growth from last year.”

During the fair period, seven fashion shows and eight special-topic seminars will be staged. One of the highlighted shows is the Hong Kong New Fashion Collection Award, which encourages Hong Kong companies to work with designers from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland in building brand collections.

Held for the eighth time, it features nine contestants competing for three awards: the Casual and Jeans-wear Category Winner, the Party and Evening-wear Category Winner and the Overall Winner.
